Join us at Izaak Walton at 8:00 am for a bird walk led by site steward and bird enthusiast KT Petersen. Since it is migration season, we will have the chance to see and hear so many different species. If you download the free Merlin app on your smartphone, you will be able to identify what you hear, and help scientists track which birds are in our area. We have ten pairs of binoculars and will birdwatch from 8:00am-9:00am.

At 9:00, if you like, you are invited to stay and help take care of the forest until noon. We break at 10:30 for a snack. We will be removing invasive species and making room for native plants and oak trees. The birds will thank you!

We will be in the woods at the Des Plaines Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America at 1841 S. River Road, Des Plaines.
