Helping make Des Plaines a greener city one day at a time.
THINK GREEN. ACT GREEN.

A native green sweat bee on brown-eyed susans (rudbeckia triloba), which can reach two to five feet tall! These flowers makes an excellent cut flower and are beloved by many pollinators as we approach the fall season.
OUR MISSION:
To promote sustainability and educate our community on eco-friendly practices to safeguard the future of Des Plaines and our planet.

Join us on our next Friends of the Forest work day at Izaak Walton! We will be removing invasive species and restoring the native habitat for wildlife. A great way to get in nature, feel productive and help your community. Many work days are available year round. All are welcome!
Spend time in nature and help with ecological restoration!
