The Monarch Butterfly is among the most familiar of North American butterflies and an iconic pollinator, although it is not an especially effective pollinator of milkweeds.
OUR MISSION:
To promote sustainability and educate our community on eco-friendly practices to safeguard the future of Des Plaines and our planet.
Join us on our next Friends of the Forest work day at Izaak Walton! We will be removing invasive species and restoring the native habitat for wildlife. A great way to get in nature, feel productive and help your community. Many work days are available year round. All are welcome!
