About the event
Native plants are perennials, which mean they come back year after year. They have long root systems, requiring less watering, and they are adapted to the Illinois climate. Come see how you can incorporate these in your own yard!
All of these gardens are certified by the Conservation@Home program. This means that they also use organic gardening and water conservation practices and provide food and shelter for wildlife. Click here to see if your yard can be certified: Conservation@Home
